Plastic overlap binding rings are an incredibly affordable, and convenient way to bind together loose pages, hang retail displays, use for crafting, and more.

The overlap design means there is no pulling apart or snapping of the rings to open and close them. Instead, you just slide your pages through the opening of the ring. The notch in the rings helps prevent them from just sliding out, so pages only come out when you pull them out.

Overlap plastic binder rings are available in clear or white, and in one size. They measure 3/4 of an inch on the inside diameter, and about 1 inch at the widest point of the outside diameter. They are about 1/8 of an inch thick and are made of a semi-flexible plastic for easy bending, while still keeping their shape.

I RECOMMEND THIS FOR: 
Plastic overlap rings are ideal for people who want to bind paper, or hang lightweight signs, and don’t want to have to hassle with snap closure. The overlap design will keep your items semi-secure, making adding and removing items from the ring fast.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THEM:
The overlapping round shape makes adding or removing pages easier than traditional snap lock plastic rings, as it does not require you to press closed or pull open any locks. Sometimes pressing closed and opening those snap rings can be hard on the fingers if you have to do it all the time, so the overlap rings are a good alternative when working with larger quantities. The plastic is rigid, but semi-flexible, so there is a little give, which makes it easier to insert items onto the rings. They are fun, functional, and professional; perfect for users of all kinds, including individuals, retail, offices, schools, and more. They are also very economically priced, at just over 12¢ each. Maybe I am biased because I am obsessed with binding rings, but I love them.
 

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
Overlap plastic rings are only available in one size, which is approximately ¾” on the inside. This will limit the uses and page capacity. In addition, they come in only white or clear options, so the color selection is pretty small. And since they don’t actually seal or snap closed, there is a risk for your items to slip off is the ring is spun in place, which may happen naturally over time. You should also keep in mind that they are made of plastic, not metal, so cannot withstand real heavy items being hung.
 

THE BOTTOM LINE: 
Overlap plastic binding rings definitely have a use in retail and offices, and even for binding pieces of paper, but they are permanently open, which means are not nearly as secure as plastic snap lock rings. That being said, however, they are an awesome solution for those who need a quick-edit ring.
