Booklet Making

Booklet making is a fast and efficient way for users to fold and staple small booklets in one simple step. Instead of manually folding sheets and then fussing with a stapler to staple on the spines, a booklet making machine will fold your pages and insert the staples for you. These machines are very easy to use and are the perfect solution for businesses, churches, schools, non-profits, and anyone else who folds and staples booklets for distribution manually, who wants to eliminate the hassle and stress, and speed up the process. Use these systems to make your own booklets, songbooks, pamphlets, brochures, and more. Booklet making can be simple with the right equipment at the ready.

What's the Difference Between Booklet Making & Saddle Stitching

Booklet making is sometimes confused with saddle stitching because the finished look is the same, however, there is a difference in (1) the process of binding, and (2) the machinery used that puts them into the different categories.

Booklet making uses machines called, well... booklet makers! These systems use individual staples and actually fold your pages and staple your booklets. They are simple machines, available in manual and electric models. The combination of the folding and stapling of the spine in one pass through the systen makes them very fast and easy to use. Booklet makers are ideal for organizations such as schools, churches, and businesses; and some larger industrial models are available for print shops and the on-demand market.

Saddle stitching, however, uses a stitching machine that pulls from a wound spool of wire. The system stitched onto the spine of your pre-folded pages and cuts the wire to-size. Kind of like a sewing machine, but with wire instead of thread. Your pages will need to be pre-folded or creased before they are placed onto the saddle.
