If you have been looking for a durable ring binder but haven't found what you need with traditional vinyl or flimsy plastic binders, look no further. Considered the best binders in the industry, our natural poly ring binders are able to handle very heavy handling without cracking or tearing. Extremely resilient, these binders can also withstand water and other liquids without damage; this ability to be wiped clean makes them a very popular solution for hospitals and doctors offices with clean rooms, as well as schools kids may spill on the binders. Standard poly binders are built for letter size sheets measuring 8 ½" wide and 11" high with enough room to allow for the extra width from index tab dividers. They are considered environmentally friendly binders as they contain up to 75% post consumer waste (PCW), lending to their popularity.
Our natural poly binders are made of polyethylene, which is available in three different gauges including light weight 23 gauge, medium weight 35 gauge, and heavy weight 55 gauge. Check out our photo gallery above to see these three thicknesses as compared to a pencil for scale, and below for information on the different gauges and what applications and what kind of users they are best for. In addition to the variety of colors and material thicknesses, we also offer several popular ring sizes from as small as 1/2" up to 2" for most options.
23 gauge plastic binders are made of a lightweight poly that is thin and flexible. They are most commonly purchased by schools, churches, and non-profit organizations with tight budget restrictions as an economical way to organize paperwork. If you need to save on costs, but still want a durable poly material, then the 23 gauge binders may be a great choice. For a slightly thicker option, consider the 35 gauge poly binders. They are considered medium weight and offer similar flexibility to the thin plastic binders, but with added stability and rigidity, though they are still flexible. This middle-of-the-road thickness is the most popular choice by all our customers, as it offers the perfect blend of cost-efficiency and semi-rigidity. Some of our most frequent customers include nature groups and national park sites, travelling sales people for businesses of all kinds, and more. Lastly, the thickest poly that we offer is a 55 gauge and it is only very slightly flexible to the point where you can bend it a bit, but it cannot be folded or creased by hand. This rigid plastic binder option is great for businesses that will handle the paperwork often, including hospitals and medical offices, real estate facilities, large corporate companies, and more.
Letter size poly binders are sold in lots of 100 binders and are made-to-order. They require about 6-7 business days for production plus transit time. Because they are made special, poly binder cannot be cancelled and are non-returnable. I RECOMMEND THIS FOR:
Poly binders are one of our most popular products across industries of all kinds, as well as individuals. They are ideal for students and schools, traveling users, hospitals and doctors’ offices, and anyone else who needs a binder that can withstand against heavy handling.
WHAT’S GREAT ABOUT THEM:
① Probably the most notable reason why our poly binders are such a hit is because they are inexpensive, without sacrificing quality. Starting at $141.99 for 100 binders, this means each binder can be as low as just $1.42 each. The quality is an important thing to note, because you can go to a budget dollar store and buy a plastic binder, but the plastic is flimsy (almost feels like paper) and the metal is weak (at least in my experience). Even our thinnest poly option is not flimsy like those binders. And we are happy to send you a sample to prove it!
② There are a huge variety are options to select from! Our extensive color swatch includes different shades of gray, blue, green, red, orange, yellow, and even purple…on top of the most popular black and white binders. We even offer tinted plastic binders that are partially see-through (available by custom order). In addition to the colors, you can choose ring sizes from as small as 1/2” up to 2”, so you can store as many as 450 sheets (or about a 1 ½” thick stack) of paper in a single binder. The maximum ring size is a 2", which is a little limited since traditional clear view binders can go up to 4", but to keep the binders stable a 2" is the largest they can handle. Lastly, you can also choose the thickness of the poly itself, so you can have either a very flexible plastic (20/23 gauge), a medium weight flexible plastic, (30/35 gauge), or a heavy weight rigid plastic (55 gauge). We can also make super-heavy weight (75 gauge) binders custom for you.
③ They are extremely durable! Poly is a type of plastic that will resist tears and bends. So those torn spine hinges that you have to deal with when you use vinyl binders is no-more! In addition to the durable cover material, the rings are still made of steel for strength.
④ They can be customized with printing and pockets upon request. You can buy the plain binders online, but we can also print your business logo, school name, practice information, and so much more. Just call (866)537-2244 to request a price quote.
⑤ They can be easily wiped clean if spilled on, which is one of the main reason why they are preferred by hospitals, emergency rooms, doctor offices, and other medical groups, as this feature makes them safe for use in clean rooms.
⑥ The same great poly / plastic binders also come in a mini size, called half size poly binders.
WHAT YOU SHOULD CONSIDER:
① The minimum order requirement for the poly binders is on the high end, at 100 pieces per SKU; meaning if you need 1/2" and 2” poly binders, you need to order 100 of each. We are unable to sell any quantities less than 100 binders because they are made to order. This is a requirement because there is such a huge variety of options (ring size, color, thickness) that we are unable to stock them.
② Because these plastic binders are made to order, there is also a production time involved, which prevents the binders from shipping before a six to seven day lead time. That, plus the transit time to a specific location from the manufacturing facility, means you have to wait a few weeks to receive the binders…so be sure you order well in advance of the required date. Sometimes rush production is available, but that is determined from a large variety of factors including the current production schedule at the time of the order, the quantity needed, and more.
③ Another factor of these binders being made to order, is that there are no returns, exchanges, or refunds available, as all sales are final. For that reason, we highly recommend that you request a sample before you buy, using this sample request form or by calling (866)537-2244.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
If you are obsessed with ring binders (like I am), then our poly plastic binders are a great way to organize paperwork. Their durability, fun assortment of colors, poly thickness options, and their ability to be customized with printing, make them the perfect choice for anyone, and any business.
