Overview

Known throughout the printing and bindery industry as one of the fastest and most flexible binding punches on the market, the James Burn EX610 automatic punching machine will increase your production speed drastically, all while being simple to operate and producing perfectly punched pages, even for over-sized 24" wide stock. It will maximize your productivity with speeds up to 8,400 cycles per hour, or about 125,000 sheets*. It is versatile and works with collated mixed documents and tabbed sheets without trouble (with the optional tab pushing device), as well as a huge selection of punching dies to accommodate various binding styles, including Wire-O®, plastic coil spiral binding, plastic comb, velo binding, ring binders, and more. Plus, the dies can be sharpened with our express die sharpening service. A unique feature of the EX610 is the built-in air blower that separates the picked lift from the stack, which is incredibly helpful for statically charged stocks, eliminating mis-feeds and jams. It is an automatic binding punch, which means that all you operator has to do is set up the job on the control panel and walk away while the machine does the rest.
The EX610 unit comes with a choice of two different exit options: either a variable-speed exit conveyor that creates a shingled line of easy-to-handle documents, or a pile high reception tray on wheels that allows for quick mobility of a straight stack to the binding machine of your choice. This high pile stacker automatically recedes as it fills, and will automatically stop when full so your operator can change it out. Two of these reception stacker bins are included to help reduce down time and maintain production speeds, even with just one operator. The second exit option is a variable speed conveyor that offer continuous delivery of documents at the speed of your choice. The line of documents is neatly shingled so that your operator doesn't have to separate the books before binding. Alternative EX610 machine options include a double action punch that will punch and cut tabs at the same time called the EX610DA, or a duplex option with a board feeder for punching of cardboard called the EX610 Duplex.
