When you use Heidelberg offset blankets, you can achieve sharper images, whether creating solids, screens, or half-tones. The uniform gauge is fully compressible and the quick-release is achieved even with heavy ink coverage and coated stocks.
Some blankets may have bars; see the below chart for which ones. A barred blanket features aluminum bars mounted/fixed to the ends, and is required by some printing presses/cylinders.
