Frequent Asked Questions

Q
Are the cutter dimensions (1/8", 1/4", etc) the radius or diameter of the cut?
Asked by Frank Lehmann
A
Those measurements are the radius of the cut.

Q
Does the Lassco Wizer CR-20 Corner Rounder cut Velcro One-wrap well? How often do you have to change the die? Thank you. Jeff @
Asked by Jeff Strawn
A
Hi Jeff - We do not recommend the CR-20 with die be used to cut anything other than paper or soft plastic products, as this rounder was designed for these materials and has been tested/works very well. We understand that people do use them on different materials, but we cannot guarantee how well this machine would work, or the longevity of the cutting unit with these applications. Under normal paper/plastic use, a cutting unit typically lasts for a few years, depending on how often a customer is using it and what they are using it for.

Q
Is this product made in the USA?
Asked by Glenda Ketcham
A
Yes, the CR-20 is made in the USA

Q
Does the die dull over time, and if so, can it be sharpened?
Asked by Kate
A
Hi Kate -- Yes, just as with any cutter, these blades will eventually dull after use. How quickly this happens will vary highly depending on the materials being cut, the thickness being cut, the hardness of these materials, and the frequency. Unfortunately, we longer sharpen or repair cutting units. Due to the rising costs of labor and materials, it is actually more cost-effective and less expensive for our customers to simply purchase new cutting dies when this happens. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you for your inquiry!
