Foster Keencut now called Foster


Keencut is a huge name in the paper finishing industry, known world wide for their high quality cutting equipment. The North and South American distributor for the Keencut brand, previously called Foster Keencut, officially changed their name in 2015 to simply "Foster".

Ted Browsky, Foster's CEO, commented on the reason for the change: "In recent years, Foster offerings grew beyond the popular Keencut products to include lifters and other equipment used by the same customers that have long valued the Foster Keencut cutting products. Foster remains the exclusive North and South American distributor for the popular Keencut brand. Our new name reflects our expanded product line."

The expansion of their product line is quite extensive, and they have a strong hold on a huge part of the market for these kinds of material handling products, including for print shops, book binderies, and other corporate and business users. The North American and South American division of Keencut was founded as "Foster Manufacturing" originally, and was most commonly known as "Foster Keencut", but by simplifying their name, they prove that they have grown beyond the compounds of some of the best cutters on the market, to now offer some of the best material handling products on the market.
