Unique to the industry, the Dahle 585 is an extra-large guillotine paper cutter that is sure to impress. Most guillotine style trimmers are no larger than 18" or do, so this 43" cutter blows those trimmers out of the water with capabilities. As a part of Dahle's Premium series cutters, the model 585 is made of only top-quality materials in their Germany production plant. The blade is made of incredibly strong Solingen steel that is self-sharpening ensuring years and tears of trouble-free and accurate cutting.
This commercial grade cutter is designed to cut large amounts of paper with your safety in mind. The blade runs along the safety shield throughout the entire cutting motion and prevents hands from being in the wrong place.The blade can be locked so you can prevent unsupervised use by others. The manual foot clamp holds material securely across the entire cutting surface (another unique feature for guillotines). A spindle driven backstop on the "cut off" table and optional laser guide (not included) ensures that each cut is as accurate as possible. This guillotine sits on top of a permanently mounted stand to ensure proper height and leverage for trimming. A portion of the table folds down and up for convenient and more versatile cutting options.
