The item number 00647-21260 Dahle replacement blade and plastic housing is compatible with the Generation 2 Dahle Professional rotary trimmer series, including the models 550, 552, and 554. This blade is self-sharpening, made of a quality ground steel that is built to create a smooth and clean cut. Once installed into the rolling trimmer, it cuts both directions, so with each cut, you also enhance the blade so it can offer clean and burr-free cutting for a long time to come.
How to Tell the Difference between Generation 2 and 3: Trimmers will come with a white sticker on the underside of the trimmer. The top number on that sticker will identify the version. In addition, a Gen 2 has a single bar holding the cutting blade head while a Gen 3 has a double bar.
