The Akiles CardMac Pro is the first of it’s kind – an automatic business card slitter that can cut full-bleed business cards, as well as many other card sizes, in a single-pass through the machine.

The blades are self-sharpening, and easily replaceable when they wear out. They can cut through up to 350 gsm paper stock, so you can create even thick and heavy duty business cards.

The 10-up format and full-bleed capability means your business cards can have ink that runs all the way to the edge, without having to worry about registration issues.

The inserting system features 4 rollers, and fine-tuning of the entry feed lets you adjust the machine to meet your exact paper stock needs.

To cut business cards, use the 10-up CardMac Pro template to design your cards in any program of your choice and print the cards on letter size cardstock.

Now select the business card 10-up mode, set the number of pieces to cut, and press start.

You now have perfectly cut business cards, ready-to-go.

The waste bin allows for easy disposal of gutters and scraps.

The CardMac Pro can also cut other card sizes, including 3.5 x 5” postcards. The customize function also allows for custom length card or strips from 1.57” up to 9.84” long.

Next up on my favorite features has to be the automated cutting. This essentially means you can set it up, load the feed tray, and walk away while it cuts. I love this, no matter the kind of machine we’re talking about, since it frees up your time to do other tasks. I have confidence enough in this unit to walk away from it while it works, and am not concerned about feed issues or errors. Because it is a one-pass system (a rarity in the market; most machines require one pass for one direction of cutting, and then a second load/pass for the other direction) there is no going back to finish the cards – one and done, this awesome card cutter does it all twice as fast as the competition.
 

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
The only difficulty I experienced with this machine was that the setting adjustments were not as simple as I had hoped. But, once you get it down, it is a snap to make cards of all sizes and types. Plus, the control panel is pretty easy to use.
