TIP: Large cutting mats are shipped rolled. When you receive your mat, pull it out of the box the same-day and lay it flat with the curl pointed down for 1 day to allow it to relax it to-shape. It will relax naturally once laid flat. It is important to NOT place any items on top to force it flat, as that can damage and permanently warp the mat. Once it is relaxed, it will remain flat.

Larger and custom size cutting mats are available.  Please call (866)537-2244 for pricing and delivery.

Q
Can these be rolled up when not in use or are they rigid?

Though the large cutting mats are shipped rolled, they are designed to remain flat once unrolled. When you receive your mat, pull it out of the box the same day and lay it flat with the curl pointed down for 1 day to allow it to relax it to-shape. It will relax naturally once laid flat. Q
I bought my lithco mat oversized because I wasn’t sure which table I would use it on. What is the best method to now cut it to size?
Asked by Sharon Larson
A
The best way to cut your mat (and how we do it here) is with a straight edge and a very heavy-duty utility knife. 1st score the mat, then come in with a heavier hand and continue scoring the mat until you finally cut all the way through; do not try to cut all the way through with one pass.

Q
I’m making a new cutting table for my business. I cut large quantities of fabric to size and I also iron the fabric. Right now I’m using painted plywood but it doesn’t have a grid. Do you have a product that can handling ironing? Do you have just the grid the could stick to the table and not get damaged by the heat. I know I can’t use heat on the cutting mats available. Thanks for you help!
Asked by Anne
A
Unfortunately, none of the self-healing cutting mats are built to withstand heat. The grid itself is just paper, so also not heat-resistant.
