Included with the cutting mat is a grid underlay with 1" alignments so you can easily line up your items for accurate cuts. Perfect for your cutting table, these mats are meant to be stored flat and provide the perfect cutting surface for guillotine and hand held blades.
Important note: All the grids smaller than 4' x 8' have a numbered scale and 1" grid squares. The 4' x 8' and 4' x 2' sizes have the scale on all edges. The 4'x6' size has the scale on the top, bottom, and left edge (no scale on right). All sizes 4' x 10' or larger have the 1" grid squares, but no edge scale.

TIP: Large cutting mats like this one are rolled up for shipping. The first thing you should do with your new mat is unroll it and put it curl-side down for around 24 hours. Never attempt to flatten the mat by putting a heavy object on top; this could cause permanent deforming or shaping.
Don't try to loosen the mat by applying anything excessively hot to it, such as a hair dryer, or heat gun. This can cause serious warping to the mat. If you want to heat it uniformly, you may set it outside and let the sun warm it up and flatten it. It’ll remain flat after it’s been unrolled
