Overview

Burnishine Products® Plate Sav-Ur® is a one-step plate cleaner, conditioner, and scratch remover that works well for the large majority of traditional, non-aqueous analog metal plates. This plate saver formula thoroughly cleans the plate surface, allowing it to accept ink more effectively, and acting as an excellent re-starter for standing metal plates. This plate saver can also be used as a deglazer in dampening systems. It removes scratches instantly, and will also remove scum, gum streaks, and odxidation, desensitizing plates for a high-quality run and print. Burnishine plate cleaner, conditioner, and scratch remover is nonflammable and biodegradable. Buy Burnishine Plate Sav-Ur online in either 1 pint, 1 quart, or 1 gallon size containers, each sold individually.

Frequent Asked Questions

Q
Will this work for aqueous analog and CTP plates?
Asked by Customer
A

No. Typically those kinds of plates require an acidic cleaner, and Burnishine Plate Sav-Ur is alkaline-based. For those kinds of plates, we recommend Aqua Blue instead.

Answer by Binding101
Q
Why was my image blinded (erased)?
Asked by Customer
A

Blinding almost always occurs for one of two reasons: (1) the wrong cleaner was used, or (2) the cleaner was left on too long. Be sure your cleaner has the proper base to go with your plate, and follow the directions of the cleaner for length of time. Burnishine Plate Sav-Ur, for example, is alkaline-based, which is recommended only for traditional non-aqueous analog metal plates.
