Electric Coil Binding Machines

Find the best electric spiral coil binding machines here at Binding101, where document binding is our specialty! Our electric binder systems will help mid- and high-volume users achieve professional results without breaking the bank. Whether you are buying for your large office, corporation, print shop, church, or school, you are sure to find a great choice. Basically, anyone who needs to bind more than 100 documents per month can benefit from an electrical coil binding machine.

These high-value machines all have electric punching functionality, most often performed with a foot pedal, but also sometimes with a button, depending on the model. Foot pedal controls are great because they leave your user with both of their hands free to handle the documents more efficiently. The binding functionality (or coil inserting) may be either manual, so you can roll the plastic coils in by hand, or electric with an integrated roller inserter that can help significantly speed up the process. Some machines may have a single roller, while others have dual rollers; dual is ideal for the smoothest insertion, but single does a good job as well. If you think your volume is a bit lower, then you may want to check out our manual coil binding machines instead. Otherwise, you are assured to find a perfect electric coil binder for your individual requirements from our selection below.

These powerful spiral coil binding machines punch the standard 4:1 pitch hole spacing, offering 4 holes per inch to match perfectly with the standard 4:1 coil spines. Some more unique machines may punch for 5:1 as well. The holes will be either round or oval, depending on the model. A round hole binding machine is most common because it is the classic option, but oval holes are spaced the same while allowing for easier coil inserting, which makes them a big benefit when you work with a lot of books or thicker documents as well. As you can imagine, the oval holes give that little bit of extra space that forms more efficiently with the natural curve of the coil itself, so there is less catching and frustration with inserting. Once the coils are inserted to your pages, just use a coil crimper to finish the ends. Some select machines may have a crimper integrated into the machine for an all-in-one solution.
