3:1 and 2:1 Wire Combination Binding Machines
Twin loop wire binding is one of the most popular ways to bind together pages and create a professional and functional finished look. But one of the biggest complaints with this binding type is the fact that you need two different punching patterns to handle the full range of wire diameter sizes. This can be frustrating for users, as it can often require two different punching machines. But with a combination 3:1 and 2:1 wire binding machine, you can avoid that frustration and have access to the full range of twin loop bindings without having to buy a second system.
These machines have two punching throats; one with a three to one pitch hole pattern, punching three holes per inch for the smaller diameter 3:1 wires up to 9/16”, and one with a two to one pitch hole pattern for larger 2:1 wires from 5/8” to 1.25”. Some of the machines available here may also have a simple die-change system, where you actually remove and switch-out the punching pattern from a single throat. These machines are heavy duty, and perfect for operations that may also want to keep the options open to adding other various punching dies/patterns in the future.
