The Triumph 5551EP Hydraulic Paper Cutter has the capability to cut a 21-1/2" wide sheet, and a stack of materials as thick as 3-5/8". The Triumph 5551EP Cutter offers the same features as the popular Triumph 550-EP cutter, but with the added benefit of safety light beams to protect the operator and help you perfectly align your paper, as well as an automatic back gauge that advances to the next cut automatically. A hydraulic blade and adjustable hydraulic clamp drive, the clamp is guided on both sides to apply even pressure along entire cutting width and is fully adjustable between 1,900 and 3,800 psi and includes a false clamp and foot pedal for pre-clamping. The programmable EP back gauge control module stores up to 99 programs.

The high storage capacity, programmable "EP" back gauge control module has a 10 button keypad and LED display that stores up to 99 programs with up to 99 steps each and frequently used measurements. Up to 9 repeat cuts can be integrated into a program in a single step. The digital measurement readout can be set for cm or inches and is accurate to 1/10 mm or 1/100 inch. The control module features repeat cut and eject functions, a "set" function key for reference measurement, and a self-diagnostic system with error indication on the display. The HSS Solingen steel blade that offers precision swing-cut blade movement with solid steel blade carrier and adjustable blade guides.

The Triumph 5551EP Hydraulic Cutter features an electric, spindle-guided back gauge drive that can be controlled with an electronic hand wheel, offering variable speed control for manual back gauge settings. The cutter is mounted on rolling casters and is all-metal construction with durable stainless steel work surface on the front and rear of the cutter. Optional side tables with stainless steel surface extend work area are available.

Like all MBM Triumph cutters, the 5551 EP features the SCS® (Safety Cutting System) package, which includes a hinged, transparent electronically controlled front safety guard; a transparent safety cover on rear table; a main switch and safety lock with key; electronically controlled, true two-hand operation; low voltage 24 V controls; a patented Ideal safety drive; automatic blade return from every position; a disc brake for instant blade stop; blade and cutting stick can be changed without removing covers; a blade changing device covers cutting edge of blade; blade depth adjustment from outside of machine.
