Usage Tip: The OD4012 is a heavy duty punch made for professional use. We recommend only trained personnel use this machine. The HD4170 is made to to fit into large offices and print shops along side the Rhin-O-Tuff Electric Punches. This unit is heavy duty and can be used throughout the day with its superior rubber formulated rollers.

Maintenance Tip: We recommend that you oil the punching pins on the OD4012 after every 8 hours of use. Once oiled, punch some scratch paper to remove any excess grease on the pins. Never punch more sheets that what is recommended. And don't forget to empty the waster tray. A full waste tray can cause back up into the machine, causing it to jam.

Binding Tip: Insert the plastic coil in the first three holes of the binding edge manually. Hold the book flat at both the top and bottom ends close to the binding edge. Hold the binding edge at a 45 degree angle against the rollers. This may take some practice to get the feel of what works best for you.

Eco Tip: The Onyx line of binding punches and and finishing modules are more than 98% recyclable.

Powerful and versatile, the Rhin-O-Tuff Onyx OD4012 Electric Punch was designed with the "printer" in mind. This heavy duty punch is capable of punching paper for coil binding, plastic comb binding, Wire-O binding, and more. No other machine offers the versatility that a Rhin-O-Tuff can offer. With the "Quick Change Die" feature, switching between punching dies has never been easier. There are 9 standard punch patterns for the OD4012 available and several more available as special order. The OD4012 offers the same quality and durability as the larger Rhin-O-Tuff Equipment, however with its newly designed smaller table dimensions, (footprint) we can offer it at a lower cost. The 11" throat is perfect for organizations that primarily punch letter size and smaller documents. One free standard coil die is included with purchase.
