Usage Tip: The Akiles Megabind 1E is the electric version of the popular Megabind Manual unit. This model is perfect for large offices and print shops using the machine daily.

Binding Tip: Always punch scratch paper first to make sure the paper margin is set correctly so that the holes are centered along the binding edge. This is also a good idea to do when first using the machine in case there is some left-over oil residue from the manufacturing process.

Maintenance Tip: For every 8 hours of use, we recommend that you punch scratch paper that has been sprayed with WD-40 lubricating oil. This will keep the punching pins lubricated and help prevent residue build-up which can result in dull punching.

The Megabind 1E has an electric foot pedal operated punch and manual binding. The MegaBind 1E will handle any paper size up to 14", and 2" thick documents. It features easily disengaged punching pins, making it easier for those looking to punch odd sheet sizes. The MegaBind 1E is lightweight and portable, and is capable of punching up to 5,000 sheets/hour or up to 250 books/hour
