Usage Tip: The Akiles Finish-@-Coil E1 is a great option for anyone binding low to medium volume books from 6mm (1/4") up to 50mm (2") using spiral bidning. It is foot pedal operated so it conserves energy as well as keeps the noise level to a minimum.

Binding Tip: Insert the spiral coil in the first three holes of the binding edge manually. Hold the book flat at both the top and bottom ends close to the binding edge. Hold the binding edge at a 45 degree angle against the rollers. This may take some practice to get the feel of what works best for you.
