Not sure what pitch means? A pitch is the ratio reflecting the number of holes punched per inch of paper. The 3250CL is a 4:1 pitch machine meaning it punches 4 holes for every inch along the binding edge. The pitches vary with different pieces of equipment as well as the Spiral Binding coil supplies. Therefore, a 4:1 pitch machine will only work with 4:1 pitch supplies.

Maintenance Tip: No oiling needed! The 3250CL self-lubricating dies keep you punching at maximum capacity over and over again. The only maintenance we suggest is to punch a folded sheet of wax paper when the punching starts to feel strained. This will remove the paper dust, which is why machines need oiling in the first place. Feel like the blades need a little sharpening? Visit your local hardware store and pick up a sheet of "steel wool" to sharpen the pins.

With just a touch of a button, quickly punch 25 sheets of 20# paper at a time, (or 2 sheets of clear covers). No more time-consuming and tiring manual punching; the 3250CL has been engineered to be trouble-free. The punching is done vertically instead of horizontally, (reducing punching errors) and is designed for office use. The motor doesn't run continuously while it is plugged in and thus, is extremely quiet to operate & saves energy. The roller also has an automatic shut off after about 25 seconds so no electricity is wasted. The 3250CL features a 3 year limited warranty, which is the longest warranty available on the market today. The 44 hole punch aligns perfectly centered on your 11" or 8.5" binding edge. The modern design (stylish & compact) of the 3250CL was built to fit in with other office equipment, such as computers & printers. The 3250CL features a Paper Guide with a Document Sizer. If your book fits in the notch, it will fit in the tapered punching throat. The unique Spiral Binding coil sizer tells you what size coil you have. Just place coil on correct hub to identify that size. With an additional drawer, organizing your binding supplies & cutter crimper pliers has never been easier.

While the tapered throat ensures that the machine cannot be overloaded, jamming is still possible. This is no longer a problem with the Automatic Jam-Stopper, which quickly reverses punching jams. Still jammed? Simply pull off the black cap on the right side of the machine and spin the notch to manually unjam the machine.

The large chip drawer lets you punch more volume that before, so you don't have to empty your waste tray as often. The waste drawer also has the user instructions attached so you don't have to fumble with loose paper. When it's time to bind, the large and powerful coil roller quickly zips the Spiral Binding coil into place, ready for you to cut and crimp the coil ends with the included Hand Cutter Crimper Pliers. For binding thicker books, the built-in book former shapes and aligns punched sheets for easier coiling.
