The Martin Yale Model 1648 Automatic Letter Opener is a high speed, scrap free mail opener. The loader holds a 3" stack and rapidly self-feeds letters through the unit. The 1648 letter opener can handle envelopes 1/4" thick and can be adjusted to handle various envelope sizes. It makes a single slice through the envelopes that does not damage contents or leave scraps. The blades are fully enclosed to protect the operator and non-skid feet hold it firmly in place. The catch tray can be folded in for easy storage and transportation, or removed and attached to the back of the machine.
